T&M Associates is seeking a multi-talented Staff Engineer 2 to join our Water Market! This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to advance their career and grow within the framework of an award-winning engineering consulting firm. This role offers exposure to a wide range of projects including water and wastewater treatment facilities, linear infrastructure, pumping stations, condition assessments, and field inspections. The primary focus will be on the design of linear water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer projects for the City of Philadelphia’s utility infrastructure replacement and upgrade program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform design and analysis for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and linear infrastructure projects.
  • Support design of linear water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer systems for municipal utility upgrades.
  • Prepare design calculations, drawings, technical reports, and condition assessments.
  • Conduct field inspections and site assessments, as required.
  • Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers on multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ensure projects are delivered accurately, on time, and in compliance with client and regulatory standards.
  • Adapt to evolving project needs while managing multiple priorities effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field required.
  • 3–5 years of related engineering experience in water/wastewater design and infrastructure.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification , with intent to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D required.
  • Strong technical foundation with ability to develop neat, accurate, and detail-oriented design calculations.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with peers, clients, and senior management as part of a team.

T&M Associates is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation practices in compliance with applicable laws, including the New Jersey Equal Pay Act. T&M estimates that the salary range for this position will fall between $79,000 - $103,000. The actual salary offered may vary within this range, depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, educational qualifications, specific skills and knowledge, as well as internal pay equity and geographic location.
