• Drive methodology within the Mechanical Engineering group.
• Prepare for PDR’s and CDR’s and be the main technical representative for the mechanical engineering group.
• Communicate and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
• Manage mechanical, Process, and Documentation staff, allocate resources, and direct the activities of other engineers.
• Mentor and train mechanical staff.
• Prepare, review, and oversee complete drawings and specifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant work experience.
• 10+ years of Mechanical design and technical lead roles.
• Strong Knowledge of commercial, Avionic and Military design practices.
• Experience with thermal and modal analysis using Solidworks.
• Experience 3D modeling using Solidworks.
• Experience leading other engineers, mentoring staff and allocating manpower/workload resources.
