We are looking for a Lead Control Software Engineer to develop the real-time software responsible for controlling the movement and behaviour of these robotic systems.

This is a highly hands-on role combining robotics control, software development and technical leadership.

The Role\n
As a Lead Control Software Engineer, you will:

Develop real-time control software for humanoid robots.
- \n
Develop and optimise production-quality C and Python.
- \n
Take control algorithms from research and prototype through to production.
- \n
Deploy and validate software on physical robotic systems.
- \n
Work with simulation and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
- \n
Contribute to software architecture and technical decisions.
- \n
Develop automated testing and software release processes.
- \n
Work closely with robotics, mechanical, AI and systems engineers.
- \n
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers.
- \n
Help establish engineering standards as the robotic platform scales.

About You\n
We are looking for a Lead Control Software Engineer with strong experience developing control software for complex robotic systems.
\n
You should have:
\n
- \n
- \n
Significant commercial experience in robotics control software.
- \n
Strong hands-on C experience.
- \n
Strong Python skills.
- \n
Experience with real-time control systems.
- \n
Experience with ROS2, real-time Linux and/or an RTOS.
- \n
Experience taking algorithms from research/prototype into production.
- \n
Experience with robotics simulation and HIL testing.
- \n
Experience validating software on physical robots.
- \n
Experience contributing to software architecture.
- \n
Understanding of automated testing, CI/CD and software releases.
- \n
Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring.
