Sr. Systems Engineer

TMB, Inc is seeking candidates for a contingent Sr. Systems Engineer to support a Program Executive Office Ships (PEO Ships) Combatant Shipbuilding Acquisition Program Office. This is a full-time remote work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, develop, integrate, and manage scheduling activities.
  • Prepare and analyze schedules and reports.
  • Perform schedule update procedures, recovery plans and “what-if” schedules as required. Establish and monitor execution towards milestones, key events, and significant accomplishment criteria.
  • Develop and manage a program’s and/or project’s schedule that communicates to all levels of the project team and stakeholders effectively.
  • Perform IMS critical path, schedule slack, and task predecessor/successor networking analyses.
  • Perform Schedule Risk Assessments (SRAs).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 10 years of experience in Navy DoD Weapons/Defense Systems.
  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field and 7 years of experience in Navy DoD Weapons/Defense Systems.
  • Experience in Navy DoD, Weapon Systems DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process, Middle Tier Acquisition process).
  • Professional Engineer License is .
  • Must be a United States .
  • Must possess an active DOD Secret security clearance.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to perform frequent internal and external customer interface including regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings.
  • Ability to travel reasonable distances (up to ½ mile one way) to meet with customers or other company personnel in the execution of job functions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds in order to carry a laptop, notebooks, papers, binders and other tools and equipment required in the execution of job functions.
