Lead Automation & Control Engineer - Onsite - Easton PA
Salary up to $155,000 plus 15% bonus
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Automation & Control Engineer to lead our automation, process control and applications across our plants. This role is a hands-on leadership position (player/coach) leading a team that designs for new equipment, upgrades and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of automation and control systems
- Lead a team that focuses on all priorities for the controls and automation based projects
- Oversee the implementation of PLC programming and configuration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies into existing systems
- Utilize AutoCAD for designing control system layouts and schematics
- Develop and execute testing protocols for automation solutions
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automation issues
- Document system designs, updates, and maintenance procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical or related field
- 10+ years of experience supporting manufacturing equipment including debugging PLC and controls software
- 10+ years of experience in Controls and Automation
- 7+ years leading a technical team
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming and control systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and design software
- Experience with software such as FactoryTalk, RSLogix500, Studio5000
- Ability to work independently and lead projects effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
