How You Will Make an Impact

  • Lead and manage roadway design projects from conception through construction, ensuring compliance with ALDOT and FHWA standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships while overseeing project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Mentor and supervise a team of engineers, technicians, and interns, fostering technical growth and quality assurance.
  • Prepare and review contract documents, design reports, and construction plans using MicroStation Open Roads.
  • Represent the firm in client meetings, public forums, and industry events, advocating for innovative engineering solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, sustainability practices, and regulatory requirements.

Are You a Roadway Design Rock Star?

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Alabama
  • 10+ years of progressive roadway design experience, including project management
  • Proficiency in MicroStation (Open Roads), Microsoft Office, and ALDOT/FHWA standards
  • Strong knowledge of AASHTO Green Book, MUTCD, and other federal guidelines
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites

Skills:

  • Experience managing ALDOT projects and client development
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration abilities
  • Problem-solving aptitude with attention to detail and design precision
