How You Will Make an Impact
- Lead and manage roadway design projects from conception through construction, ensuring compliance with ALDOT and FHWA standards.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships while overseeing project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Mentor and supervise a team of engineers, technicians, and interns, fostering technical growth and quality assurance.
- Prepare and review contract documents, design reports, and construction plans using MicroStation Open Roads.
- Represent the firm in client meetings, public forums, and industry events, advocating for innovative engineering solutions.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, sustainability practices, and regulatory requirements.
Are You a Roadway Design Rock Star?
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Alabama
- 10+ years of progressive roadway design experience, including project management
- Proficiency in MicroStation (Open Roads), Microsoft Office, and ALDOT/FHWA standards
- Strong knowledge of AASHTO Green Book, MUTCD, and other federal guidelines
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites
