Overview:
Kinkaid Civil is looking for a Senior Project Manager – On the underground wet utilities Team to provide leadership, direction, and oversight on large, complex infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects from design through closeout, including scope, budgets, schedules, and program statements.
- Coordinate and oversee, engineers, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
- Lead projects from award activities to closeout. Manage subcontractor’s contractors, vendors and project management teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety, spec’s, and health standards.
- Facilitate value engineering, resolve project issues, and ensure contract/document standards are met.
- Review and approve payments and change orders to the GC’s, vendors, and design professionals.
- Track, manage and relay construction budgets to the executive team.
- Coordinate project startup with the project teams.
- Conduct close out reviews and gather customer feedback.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in heavy civil construction.
- Experience with wet underground utility installation and knowledge is a must.
- Expertise in Water/Wastewater systems, large-diameter pipelines, trenching, and excavation projects.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
- Strong skills in budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration.
- Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and levels of leadership.
- Strong communication and reporting skills, including executive updates.
- Mentoring and developing staff in project management and field operations.
- Knowledge of safety and compliance standards within construction environments.
Experience
- Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Planswift, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, MS Project, HCSS).
- Advanced education or certification (MBA, PMP, OSHA 30).
