Compensation Range: $90,000 - $114,000 (plus annual bonus)

Job Description:
This role is responsible for designing and optimizing high-speed electronic circuit board layouts, ensuring performance, manufacturability, and compliance with industry standards.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Translate circuit designs from hardware engineers into PCB layouts
- Design and develop high-speed PCBs (mixed signal, microprocessor-based systems)
- Client out memory buses (DDR, etc.) and processor interfaces
- Manage signal integrity and controlled impedance requirements
- Troubleshoot timing issues and EMC/EMI failures
- Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams on board production
- Document design decisions, testing results, and validation processes
- Iterate designs to meet performance, compliance, and certification standards
- Support component changes, obsolescence, and vendor coordination
Requirements:
Must-Haves:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited)
- 4 years of experience (or 2 years with Master's degree)
- Strong experience in high-speed circuit design and PCB layout
- Experience with controlled impedance and signal integrity
- Experience designing memory buses and microprocessor interfaces
- Knowledge of EMC/EMI optimization and testing
- Understanding of PCB manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards
- Strong debugging, testing, and validation skills
- Experience contributing to full product development lifecycle
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and problem-solving skills
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with OrCAD (or similar CAD tools)
- Experience developing PCB design best practices
- Background in regulated or compliance-driven environments
