About Revive Environmental Technology
Revive Environmental Technology, LLC ("Revive") is a mission-driven environmental technology company focused on delivering rapid, permanent solutions for PFAS and other persistent environmental contaminants. Our flagship PFAS Annihilator® systems are built on patented supercritical water oxidation (SCWO) technology and are setting a new standard in liquid waste destruction, including PFAS-laden AFFF concentrates and complex organic waste streams.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to further develop and scale our PFAS Annihilator SCWO technology. The position is located in Columbus, OH. The role reports to the Chief Technology Officer.
Key Responsibilities
-
- Lead the process discipline in design efforts.
- Execute scale-up of Revive's technology offerings, most relevantly the PFAS Annihilator system, to support commercial deployment.
- Drive continuous improvement of SCWO reactor and salt separation subsystems to enhance throughput, minimize fouling, extend service intervals, and improve overall system availability.
- Provide expert engineering support to field operations by resolving emergent technical challenges across the fleet; conduct root-cause analyses and implement durable corrective actions in collaboration with site teams.
- Analyze data and develop test plans to better understand PFAS destruction chemistry, salt precipitation behavior, and system control strategies.
- Support and participate in process safety activities such as HAZOPs, risk assessments, and safety reviews for system modifications, commissioning, and new deployments.
- Partner with fabrication and commissioning teams to validate system designs, resolve field integration issues, and accelerate the implementation of design upgrades.
- Analyze operational data from commercial and demonstration units to identify bottlenecks, and guide engineering decisions and future designs.
- Contribute to Revive's technical knowledge base by developing and documenting process improvements, system modifications, and standardized design modules for future deployments.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ (preferably 15+) years' experience in process engineering design, preferably in high-pressure, high-temperature, or hazardous waste treatment systems.
- Strong safety record.
- Strong background in thermal reaction systems, heat integration, and fluid mechanics.
- Excellent problem-solving and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
Qualifications
- Experience with SCWO, wet air oxidation, or hydrothermal processing.
- Familiarity with PFAS chemistry, AFFF treatment, or salt-laden wastewater.
- Experience with modular skid-based systems and field deployment of process equipment.
- Experience with fabrication, manufacturing, and good lab practices.
- Experience working with small teams and/or in technology scaling and optimization.
Why Join Revive
- Contribute directly to solving one of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time.
- Work alongside an agile, mission-driven team combining deep science with practical field engineering.
- Be at the center of scaling up one of the first proven PFAS destruction systems to and international markets.
- Competitive compensation and growth opportunities in a fast-scaling cleantech company.
