This job is located in Georgia, and relocation is required. A relocation package will be provided.

Job description:

The Sr. Petroleum Equipment Tester will perform routine and advanced inspections, testing, and equipment certification. Along with maintenance tasks on various mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment as directed by the dispatcher or manager. Assists with providing leadership and training to junior compliance staff through mentorship. Please note: the candidate must have experience as a petroleum equipment tester in order to be eligible for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and advanced compliance inspections, testing, and equipment certification (line tightness, leak detector, tank tightness, EVR, and other industry tests).

  • Carry out maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical, and electronic petroleum equipment as directed.

  • Deliver high-quality service that meets customer expectations and goals.

  • Adhere to Petro Plus safety policies and report unsafe conditions.

  • Complete all required training courses and maintain current certifications and licenses.

  • Properly use uniforms, PPE, company vehicles, and equipment.

  • Meet compliance work deadlines and complete required paperwork accurately and promptly.

  • Follow customer site safety, housekeeping, and operational protocols.

  • Maintain inventory levels to support high first-time fix rates.

  • Use ERP and electronic systems to complete and track work orders.

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior compliance staff.

Candidate Must:

  • Follow Petro Plus safety policies and report unsafe conditions.

  • Complete required online and classroom training.

  • Maintain all certifications, licenses, uniforms, and PPE in good standing.

  • Properly maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.

  • Perform compliance testing and inspections at petroleum fueling locations.

  • Meet work order deadlines and complete required paperwork accurately.

  • Follow customer safety, housekeeping, and site protocols.

  • Maintain inventory to ensure high first-time fix rate.

  • Use ERP system and electronic devices to manage work orders.

  • Provide professional, high-quality service that meets customer expectations.

Job Expectations:

  • Travel 30–50% (in and out of state); flexible schedule with some overnights.

  • High school diploma/GED and strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP).

  • Commitment to safety, quality service, and professional conduct.

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

  • Physically able to lift 60 lbs (100 lbs assisted), bend, kneel, and stand for long periods.

  • Ability to work independently or in teams; excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Obtain/maintain required certifications (UST, ICC, Veeder-Root, Estabrook, Red Jacket, Franklin Fueling, OPW, EMCO, etc.).
