JOB FUNCTION
Develop and maintain MPI to meet customer’s manufacturability, quality, and cost requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reporting to Engineering Manager.
- In charge of process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements.
- Define, Implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
- Develop and implement 5DX test strategies.
- Maintain MPI to meet customer manufacturability, quality, and cost requirements.
- Develop and update the manufacturing process procedures.
- Review and support design change orders.
- Perform DFM analysis.
- Optimize process flow for maximum efficiency and develop product specific tooling.
- Resolve production problems and determine appropriate actions for quality/process improvements.
- Implement statistical process analysis on new and existing products
- Implement safety, productivity and yield improvements
- Perform failure analysis and develop solutions for failures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Industrial Engineering (IE) or equivalent work experience.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in PCBA processes.
- Experience in testing, debugging, and test equipment programming experience is a plus.
SKILLS:
- Extensive experience on DFM/DFA for electronics manufacturing.
- Well versed on processes and procedures for SMT/PCBAs for manufacturing qualification.
- Capable to develop, implement and maintain PCBA processes.
- Excellent communication.
- Able to write engineering reports for internal and external customers
- Stencil Design proficiency, including knowledge of:
- Area/Aspect ratio calculations
- Solder pastes type and mesh sizes
- Electroformed (E-form) Stencils
- Nickel stencils
- Step stencils
