JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for planning and developing manufacturing processes with a focus on efficiency and quality. Reviews equipment layouts, workflow, assembly procedures, and workforce allocation to optimize production. Identifies required parts, tools, and methods to meet product specifications and manufacturing goals. Performs tasks following established guidelines and direction, working under close supervision.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and refine mechanical systems while meeting schedule and budget requirements.
- Create 3D models of mechanical assemblies, enclosures, and packaging using SolidWorks.
- Develop conceptual layouts, PCB packaging, and board-level mechanical integration in SolidWorks.
- Apply creativity and precision to product-focused design challenges.
- Build and test prototypes to validate design functionality.
- Evaluate current products for potential improvements and enhancements.
- Collaborate across departments to address and resolve production issues.
- Maintain familiarity with mold-making, die design, tooling, fixtures, and assembly processes.
- Experience working with fiberglass and foamed materials is (components may include foam, fiberglass, castings, resins, or aluminum).
- Background in injection molding processes is beneficial.
- Prepare and maintain technical/engineering documentation (e.g., specifications, routers, ECOs, and ECRs).
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) and at least 5 years of engineering experience.
- Minimum 3 years working in a manufacturing environment with responsibility for design, processes, equipment, and documentation.
- Skilled in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledgeable in FEA methods for stress, thermal, and vibration analysis; experience with SolidWorks Simulation .
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and quality requirements.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Prior aerospace manufacturing experience across multiple process phases is advantageous.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with technicians, fellow engineers, and senior engineering staff.
- Strong judgment, problem-solving, and integrity in both professional and personal conduct.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

This role requires access to technical data and equipment governed by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Candidates must qualify as U.S. persons under ITAR: U.S. , U.S. Permanent (Green Card holder), or a protected individual under 8 USC 1324b(a)(3).
