Senior Estimator / Project Manager – Design-Build Construction

About the Opportunity

A dynamic and growing design-build commercial construction firm is seeking a Senior Estimator / Project Manager to join its Cincinnati-based team. This hybrid role blends preconstruction estimating and full-cycle project management across a wide range of commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the estimation and project delivery of commercial and industrial design-build projects
• Prepare conceptual and detailed estimates using historical data, subcontractor input, and takeoffs
• Manage subcontractor RFPs, evaluate scopes, and negotiate pricing
• Coordinate with design teams, owners, AHJs, and internal operations throughout the project lifecycle
• Develop schedules, budgets, and forecasts, and track financial performance
• Ensure compliance with safety codes, building regulations, and contract requirements
• Obtain permits and licenses, and support site activities during construction phases
• Participate in margin reviews, performance forecasting, and process improvements
• Serve as a primary point of contact for client communications and relationship management

What You Bring

• 10+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating and project management
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or similar
• Expertise in preconstruction processes, estimating methods, and project delivery
• Hands-on project management experience from design through closeout
• Strong working knowledge of codes, permitting, safety, and design-build contracts
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with Procore or ComputerEase is a plus
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $80,000 – $110,000 base

Bonus Potential: Performance bonus + profit sharing
