Sr. Electrical Engineer in Oakland

Qualifications:

• BSEE/MSEE
• Medical Device (Class II wearable)
• Understanding of ISO 13485 requirements
• Experience with Digital circuit designs
• • Low power microcontrollers
  • Schematic capture 
  • PCB layout and debugging (Altium)
  • Board Bring up and troubleshooting
• Experience with BLE( Bluetooth would be a plus)
• Ideal candidate would also have high volume consumer electronic experience ( anyone that comes from a design firm would be a plus)
• Strong Documentation
• Experience in a Lead/Mentorship role

Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize digital circuits, ensuring high performance in a compact, battery-powered wearable form factor
• Board-level designs, from initial schematic capture and component selection to PCB layout and prototyping.
• Lead the bring-up and debugging of complex PCBA designs. You should be an expert with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
• Navigate the complexities of Class II medical device standards (IEC 60601). You will be responsible for maintaining rigorous documentation to support FDA filings
• Work closely with firmware, mechanical, and industrial design teams
