TMB has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Data Scientist to provide support to a U.S. Navy program office.

Responsibilities

  • The Sr. Data Scientist will support data analytics activities for the NAVSEA Director for Surface Ship Maintenance, Modernization, and Sustainment (SEA 21).
  • This role is focused on leveraging advanced analytics, data modeling, and visualization techniques to improve decision-making, optimize maintenance schedules, and enhance modernization planning for the U.S. Navy’s surface fleet.
  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to ship maintenance, modernization, and sustainment programs.
  • Develop predictive models and algorithms to forecast maintenance needs and resource requirements.
  • Create dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and IT teams to integrate data-driven solutions into operational workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD data governance and cybersecurity standards.

Qualifications

  • 10 years professional experience.
  • Master's degree in math, science, engineering, or related field.
  • 10 years of professional experience is acceptable instead of a degree.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
