Position Overview
The Sr. Construction Project Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects within the commercial, retail, and healthcare sectors. This role is integral to ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while effectively communicating with stakeholders and leading project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple construction projects from conception to completion within the designated timeframe and budget.
- Develop project plans, including resource allocation, scheduling, and budgeting, to ensure efficient workflow and project execution.
- Utilize project management tools such as Gantt charts, JIRA, and Microsoft Project to monitor project progress and performance.
- Implement Agile and SCRUM methodologies to optimize project delivery and team collaboration.
- Conduct risk management assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts on project timelines and budgets.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members, to ensure alignment and address any issues that arise.
- Supervise and mentor project teams, fostering a culture of teamwork and high performance.
- Manage change requests and ensure that project modifications are properly assessed and documented.
- Monitor project performance using key indicators and make adjustments as necessary to achieve project goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on commercial, retail, and healthcare projects.
- Proven experience in resource allocation, scheduling, and budgeting within construction projects.
- Strong understanding of Agile, SCRUM, and Kanban methodologies.
- Excellent risk management skills and the ability to develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and performance monitoring.
- Proficient in project management software and tools, including Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Gantt charts.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
