SII Group USA is an international engineering consulting firm supporting major aerospace OEMs and system integrators in the development of advanced, safety-critical systems.

Our teams work at the forefront of Air Traffic Control (ATC), avionics, and complex system integration, contributing to high-impact programs with strong technical and operational challenges.

What you’ll do

As a Tech Lead / Solution Architect, you will drive the architecture and technical leadership of a Flight Plan Management System within an ATC program.

You will:

• Define end-to-end system and software architecture for a mission-critical platform
• Lead technical design sessions, architecture reviews, and refinement workshops
• Ensure consistency and traceability across system components and lifecycle artifacts
• Mentor engineering teams and enforce best practices, standards, and governance
• Drive system integration, performance optimization, and scalability strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, V&V, integration, QA)
• Support customer engagement, technical reviews, and decision-making processes
• Manage technical risks, dependencies, and long-term architectural roadmap

Requirements (Skills & Experience)

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including architecture roles
• Proven experience as a Tech Lead, Architect, or similar leadership role
• Strong expertise in distributed and mission-critical systems
• Experience in complex system integration environments (aerospace, defense, ATC )

Technical stack:

• Programming: Java, C/C++, Python
• Architecture: Distributed systems, microservices, scalability design
• Cloud & DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, GitLab CI
• Data: Oracle, MongoDB, ElasticSearch
• Protocols: SNMP, RPC, NTP
• Tools: UML, JIRA, DOORS (requirements traceability)
