Job DescriptionJob Description

Mechanical Design Engineer needed for growing company with excellent reputation and employee satisfaction is looking to fill a key role in their design department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone that has 2-5 years of experience in design of complex parts or components in the automotive or agricultural marketplace. Solidworks required. Previous launch experience with new product is required.

Requirements:

Associate’s degree in Design, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Design Engineering; Bachelor degree ;

At least 2 years of experience in design with any Automotive or machinery component design experience is a plus;

Must be multi-task oriented to balance several tasks and projects simultaneously;

Familiarity with IBM compatible PC and relevant software applications (i.e. Microsoft Office etc...), Auto CAD 2013, UG, Solidworks proficiency necessary;

Possesses strong interpersonal skills communicating both verbally and in writing with outside customers as well as those internally.

Duties:

Designs industrial components from initial concept through final detailed designs;

Communicates with customer’s engineers to assist in the design if the product;

Optimizes manufacturing costs through improvements in design ;

Assists with design tooling aids for manufacturing;

Works with plant manufacturing engineering and operations for purpose of developing lean manufacturing processes;

Works with internal and external suppliers on the design and specification of components;

Determines routings for new products;

Maintains Sales Engineering contacts with customers;

Performs other duties as assigned.
