Position Overview:

Marlyn is looking for a talented Solid Dose Processing manufacturing Engineer to join our vibrant production team. In this role, you will collaborate daily with our dedicated Product Development and GMP manufacturing team , focusing on managing the fluid bed granulation and aqueous tablet film coating product backlog. Your expertise will be pivotal in driving technical excellence and fostering innovation throughout the product lifecycle within a regulated environment. You will ensure the delivery of optimal value and enhance customer satisfaction, be proactive, have a hands-on approach to problem-solving, and effectively collaborate with other stakeholders (QA, QC, and production).

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Operation & Optimization: Maintain and troubleshoot fluid bed granulation/hot melt coating and aqueous film coating processes for solid dose materials in pharmaceuticals, supplements, and food industries. Focus on consistency, efficiency, and compliance with operational controls, including temperature, airflow, and spray rates.
• Equipment Management:
Operate and maintain specialized fluid bed granulator, hot melt coater, and aqueous tablet coating systems, ensuring proper functioning of air handling units, spray nozzles, and filtration systems.
• Quality Assurance: Implement process analytical technologies (PAT) to monitor critical quality attributes (moisture content, density) and ensure adherence to industry standards (cGMP).
• Process Development: Collaborate with the solid dose formulation team to scale up new processes for fluid bed granulation, hot melt coating, and aqueous spray coating, applying heat and mass transfer principles.
• Documentation & Validation: Maintain thorough records of process parameters and standard operating procedures to meet validation and regulatory requirements.
• Technical Support & Training: Provide training to operators and maintenance technicians on equipment usage and maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3–5 years in maintenance or engineering of production equipment in pharmaceuticals, food, or chemicals.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in fluid bed technology, fluid control gauges, and mechanical/pneumatic systems.
• Analytical Skills: Strong troubleshooting and documentation capabilities.

Common Industries:

• Pharmaceuticals/Nutraceuticals/Food: Hot melt coating, fluid bed granulation, aqueous tablet coating, non-aqueous dry coating.
• Chemicals: Coating pigments, fertilizers, or detergents.
