Job Title: Solar Technician / Assistant Project Manager (Residential)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and resourceful Solar Technician / Assistant Project Manager Troubleshooter to join our dynamic solar energy team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and resolving complex issues that arise throughout the lifecycle of solar energy projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, installers, and clients, to ensure that solar projects are executed efficiently, on time, and meet all performance and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solar Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot Enphase microinverter systems
- Troubleshoot SolarEdge systems
- Troubleshoot String Inverters systems
- Resolve communication and monitoring issues
- Troubleshoot battery systems
- Performing basic electrical troubleshooting
- Commission solar systems
- Site survey:
- Conduct site surveys and assist in layout designs
- Operate drones for aerial site photos and array documentation
- Assistant project manager:
- Assist with material procurement and inventory management
- Support quality control efforts on-site
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a solar technician, with at least 1 year of experience in solar installation.
- Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management abilities with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- In-depth knowledge of solar energy systems, components, and installation processes.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and contracts.
Job Preferences:
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Forklift Certification
- OSHA Certification
- Valid Driver’s License with a minimum of 5 years of clean driving history
- 1-2 years of experience in solar installation
- 1-2 years of experience in solar troubleshooting
- Must reside within a 30-minute commute to Simi Valley
Benefits:

- Starting pay range: $23 - $30 per hour
