Ion Solar is looking for a Service Technician who will be responsible for assembling solar array racking, properly sealing all roof penetrations, and installing all relative equipment. Construction experience is a must, as well as a background in roofing and electrical. Don't miss out on the opportunity to join this incredible team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Electrical knowledge
- Must be comfortable on a residential roof
- Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving recordĀ
- Assemble the solar array racking, properly seal all roof penetrations, and install all relative equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues.
- Complete projects within established policies and procedures.
- Complete projects within time frames and budgets.
- Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on crew safety.
- Communicate with customers in a professional, considerate, and respectful manner, answering all questions and complaints to the best of your ability.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to follow instructions
- Excellent customer service
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Proficient math skills to calculate the number of materials needed
- Ability to use ION technology, such as Paycom, FieldPro, Salesforce, and smartphones
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and be willing to submit to a Motorized Vehicle Report
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- More than 1 year of previous construction experience is required in electrical, roofing, or framing.
- Solar experience is
- Electrical and roofing experience as well as experience bending EMT conduit.
- OSHA compliance
Driving Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have a clean driving record as determined by a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work at heights.
- Physically able to climb, stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
- Must use earplugs around loud equipment and wear gloves, safety glasses, and other protective gear.
