This position is expected to start August or September 2026 and continue throughfallterm (endingapproximately December 2026or later, if available). We ask for a minimum of12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships.Our program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program.Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.
International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work40 hoursper week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-timeduring the academic year.

About the Role
Inthis role, you will uselarge-scale data and models to help Tesla engineers design andvalidatethemost compelling and reliableproductsfor our customers.You will collectlargereal-timedatasetsfromdozens of Tesla's Energy and Vehicle products fromtest,factoryand fleetsettings. You willdevelopand deploystatistical models thatimprovedecision-making on prognostics andinformdesignchoices.You will implement AI agent workflows that enhance the productivity of scores of engineers and help Teslaleverageitsrichexperience to design its most reliable of productsto-date.Your work willimpactmillions of Tesla customers.
What You'll Do

Build robust,flexibleand automated software tools to enable complex analysis of real-time fleet
Leverage AI to automate workflows and derive insights from Tesla's rich historical data
Design scalable and reliable data pipelines tohelp Tesla understand how products behave in the field
Answer complex questions on fleet usage and behavior to enable proactive monitoring, grow reliability, and minimize field failures
Design, develop, train, and deploy predictive / control models of physical degradation,usageand system performance
Build visualizations to effectively communicate results

What You'll Bring

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field
Excellent software skills andproficiencyin writingmaintainable,production-quality code in Python
Excellent understanding of linear algebra, probability theory, numerical optimization, with hands-on implementation experience
Practical experiencewith SQLand backend REST frameworks such as Flask orFastAPI
Practical experience developing and deploying AI agentse.g.developing tool-calling routines andwriting+deployingskills
Familiarity with Big Dataexecutionenginese.g.Pyspark/Trino. Familiarity with big data storagelayerse.g.Iceberg
Familiarity with CI/CD and version control
General knowledge of physics and engineering principles

Expected Compensation $20.00 - $50.00/hour + benefits
