Software Integration Project Manager
Position Summary
Megabyte Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced Software Integration Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex system integration initiatives. This role is the central point of accountability for project scope, schedule, resources, risks, and communication across internal teams, vendors, and clients.
The ideal candidate brings strong project management discipline along with hands-on experience coordinating software implementations, integrations, and cross-functional stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead end-to-end software integration projects from initiation through deployment and stabilization
- Define scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations
- Coordinate technical teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors
Integration & Technical Coordination
- Oversee system integrations including APIs, interfaces, and data mapping
- Partner with engineering, QA, analysts, and infrastructure teams to resolve dependencies
- Ensure integration requirements are documented, validated, and tested
- Lead system testing, UAT, and production cutover activities
Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project status, risks, and decisions
- Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and executive reporting
- Communicate progress, issues, and mitigation plans clearly and consistently
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Risk, Issue & Change Management
- Identify and proactively manage risks and integration dependencies
- Track and resolve issues impacting scope, timeline, cost, or quality
- Manage change requests and ensure proper impact analysis and communication
- Escalate critical issues with recommended solutions
Documentation & Governance
- Maintain project artifacts, including plans, integration documentation, and test plans
- Ensure adherence to project management standards and governance processes
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement
What You'll Bring
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of project management experience in software implementations or system integrations
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical and business teams
- Strong understanding of SDLC, integration concepts, and testing methodologies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with enterprise integrations, data exchanges, or third-party vendors
- Familiarity with tools such as MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, or Smartsheet
- Experience in Agile, hybrid, or waterfall environments
- PMP, Agile, or similar certification
- Knowledge of California Property Tax (a plus, not required)
