Job Description:
Acron Aviation is seeking recent Computer Science or Software Engineering graduates to participate in a structured Software Test Execution Sprint supporting the introduction and certification of a new safety surveillance function. This role provides hands-on experience executing production-level software tests in a regulated aerospace environment under the guidance of experienced ACSS Software Engineers.
Participants will contribute directly to test execution, documentation, and process improvement efforts while gaining exposure to real-world aerospace software development and verification practices.
Mandatory / Non‑Negotiable Requirements
- Onsite role based in North Phoenix, AZ (no remote or hybrid option)
- Full‑time commitment: 40 hours per week
- Onsite schedule:
- Either 9/80 (every other Friday off) or
- Standard 5/8 schedule, depending on team needs
- Contract duration:
- Approximately 4 months, starting mid‑to‑late February
- Firm end date at the end of June
- Availability:
- Must be available to start as early as mid‑February
- Must be able to work full‑time for the entire contract duration
- Work authorization:
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship)
- Experience level:
- Targeted toward recent Computer Science or Software Engineering graduates
- Strong academic, , or early‑career technical experience required
- Work type expectations:
- Role focuses on executing predefined software test procedures, documentation, and minor edits
- No new software feature development and no net‑new test creation
- Technical comfort:
- Must be comfortable working with existing code, build/config files, and technical documentation in a structured engineering environment
Participants will work as part of a small, collaborative team to:
· Execute defined software test procedures within established test environments
· Compile and dry-run required software test procedures
· Collect, analyze, and document test results in accordance with project standards
· Perform minor updates to build and configuration files as directed
· Identify inefficiencies in test execution workflows and recommend improvements
· Assist in the identification and incorporation of automation opportunities
· Support efforts to leverage emerging artificial intelligence techniques to reduce build and execution cycle times
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (completed within the last 1–2 years) OR currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
· Fundamental understanding of software development and testing concepts
· Ability to follow detailed technical procedures and document results accurately

· Comfortable working with code, build systems, and technical documentation
· Motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a team environment
