WinChoice is at a pivotal moment. We’re building an entirely new, on-shore software engineering organization to power our next- technology platform - with a clear long-term ambition to evolve it into an industry leading platform.

This role is not about inheriting a bloated team or firefighting legacy problems. It’s about building something properly, with executive backing, technical freedom, and real influence.

You’ll work closely with Brent Worley, WinChoice’s Director of IT - an accomplished former software engineer and solutions architect who has designed and led complex systems for Fortune 500 organizations. Brent is deeply technical, highly collaborative, and known internally as an exceptional mentor who genuinely invests in the growth of his leaders. This is not a role where engineering is “handed down” - you’ll be trusted as a partner.

What you’ll be responsible for

As Software Engineering Manager, you’ll lead the end-to-end delivery of WinChoice’s software platform while building a team that can scale with the business.

Your remit includes:

Building the team

• Hiring, coaching, and mentoring front-end, back-end, QA, and DevOps engineers
• Developing high standards and sustainable delivery habits

Technical leadership

• Owning architecture decisions from design through deployment
• Acting as a player-coach when needed, without being stuck in the weeds

Setting the bar

• Code reviews, testing strategy, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering discipline

Embracing modern development

• Defining how AI is used responsibly and effectively across the team
• Driving productivity without compromising quality

Cross-company collaboration

• Working closely with stakeholders, leadership, and external partners to deliver meaningful outcomes

This is a leadership role for someone who still loves engineering - but understands that scaling people and systems is the real challenge.

What we’re looking for

You don’t need to be perfect - but most successful candidates will bring:

• 5–7+ years building cloud-based software (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years in a technical leadership or engineering management role
• Strong experience with AWS and modern backend systems
• A background in C#, Java, or similar
• A genuine interest in mentoring engineers and building teams
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and shaping direction

Location & commitment

• Full-time, on-site role, based near Mountain Pine / Hot Springs, Arkansas
• Relocation support available
