About the Role - The Software Engineering Manager will provide technical leadership while contributing to the development process. This role focuses on guiding developers, supporting feature development and fixes, and managing day-to-day operations to ensure the team delivers high-quality, scalable solutions that align with business objectives.
Experience required -
- 5-8 years’ in a technical role, with at least 1-2 years' of proven team management experience within a development team
- Hands-on software development expertise, particularly in Python
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality, scalable business solutions
- Experience guiding developers in a technical capacity
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams
This role is 70% hands on, 30% management
Technical Expertise Required -
- Python - proficiency with Pandas, Numpy, SQLAlchemy, FastAPI, and Pydantic
- MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services like Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, VMs, Load Balancers, and Cloud Logging. (AWS experience a plus)
- Proficiency with Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes
- Competent in Linux environment, familiarity with MacOS
- Strong understanding of Git and CI/CD pipelines, ideally using GitLab

- Proficient in one additional programming such as C++/Java/C#
- Knowledge of security practices, auditing, and adherence to compliance standards in financial environments
Qualifications - STEM Degree/Masters or related subject
