Tech Team Lead – Product Engineering

£120-£150k + Equity

Hybrid (London – 3 days/week onsite)

Our client, an innovative and fast-scaling health tech company, is seeking a Hands on Engineering Manager with experience in building loved products to lead a cross-functional engineering squad focused on developing web applications that directly improve patient health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities


Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead a high-performing team of frontend and backend engineers
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, QAS, and Data Scientists
  • Partner with the Product team to shape ideas into delivery plans and launch successful features
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, coding, testing, and deployment


Product Development & Technical Strategy

  • Drive the delivery of features from inception to release and post-launch improvement.
  • Make pragmatic technical decisions that balance long-term vision with current needs
  • Foster cross-functional alignment and efficient delivery of product goals


Mentoring & Continuous Improvement

  • Support the growth and development of engineers through feedback and coaching.
  • Encourage best practices in testing, automation, and deployment
  • Collaborate with other Tech Leads and Engineering Leadership to evolve technical standards



About You

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally with experience leading teams
  • Excellent full-stack technical skills, ideally with experience in one of two of the following: JavaScript (React/Node), Go or Python.
  • Passionate about solving meaningful problems and creating user-centric products
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment
  • Strong communicator, able to bridge technical and non-technical discussions
  • Skilled in architecture, testing, clean code, and modern engineering practices
  • Familiar with measuring impact using business and engineering metrics
  • Able to work from the London HQ 3 days per week
