Role Overview

ID.me is looking for a highly skilled Staff Software Development Engineer - Profiles to focus on Resolution at ID.me. As an SDE V, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions for matching, deduplication, and resolution at scale. You will play a key role in shaping our Resolution strategies, working with large-scale data sets, and improving the accuracy and efficiency of our verification processes.

This position will from our Mountain View, CA office full-time in the office.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement scalable Resolution systems to improve verification accuracy and reduce fraud.
• Develop algorithms and machine learning models to match and deduplicate user identities across multiple data sources.
• Optimize and enhance linking and resolution pipelines for performance and accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Science, Security, and Product, to define and implement -related features.
• Ensure high reliability and availability of resolution services in a production environment.
• Establish and enforce best practices for data integrity, privacy, and security in resolution workflows.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and research in resolution, fraud prevention, and data matching.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 8+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong background in backend development.
• At least one year of experience in programming such as Python or Java, or Scala.

Qualifications

• Experience in fraud detection, risk analysis, or authentication technologies.
• Experience with probability analysis and statistical modeling.
• Expertise in building and deploying machine learning models for resolution and anomaly detection.
• Strong knowledge of resolution techniques, fuzzy matching, and record linkage algorithms.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architectures, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Contributions to open-source resolution projects or published research in the field.
• Experience working in highly regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or government services.

The annual base salary listed does not include a company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity and benefits which will be determined based on experience, skills, education, relevant training, geographic location and role.
