Our client seeks a Software Development Engineer in Test to design, build, and maintain robust automation across UI, APIs, and data layers. You will develop Java-based test frameworks and automated suites leveraging tools like Selenium, Cucumber, and JUnit, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines. The role operates within an Agile scrum team and emphasizes high-quality, maintainable automation for complex distributed systems. You will collaborate closely with engineering partners to improve coverage, reliability, and speed of validation.

Rate: $50.00 to $55.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, document, and maintain automated tests and in-house test utilities.
- Develop test automation frameworks for front end, middle-tier services, and back-end data providers.
- Create, implement, and execute automated tests aligned to acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and architects within an Agile Scrum team.
- Practice ATDD/TDD to drive high-quality, maintainable automation.
- Integrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines and monitor execution results.
- Contribute to building the next- workflow application with a focus on quality engineering.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years in software quality engineering roles.
- Hands-on test automation using Java/J2EE with frameworks such as JUnit, Cucumber, Selenium, Cypress, Karate, and JEST.
- Experience with Spring, Hibernate, Web Services, Oracle, and SQL.
- Proven understanding of Jenkins and CI/CD principles and tools.
- Experience developing automation across microservices, BPMN, and distributed architectures.
- Hands-on experience with ATDD/TDD methodologies.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile, globally distributed environment with strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated focus on coding quality and end-to-end integrations.
- Desire to learn and drive continuous improvement.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
