As a Software Development Engineer at STREAMETRIC, you drive the development and operation of our IoT platform technology stack to ensure a great experience for our customers and actively contribute to the growth of the startup. Our mission is to empower water and wastewater utilities for a smart tomorrow. Our products help them to avoid critical issues and make for operating and maintaining the infrastructure for the people.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain backend services using Python and microservices architecture.
• Design and implement cloud-based solutions on AWS.
• Build responsive, interactive user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure reliability and performance.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in Python for backend development.
• Experience with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, DynamoDB).
• Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Experience in React and TypeScript for front-end development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.

Base salary range: $80-95k (Commensurate with Experience)

Location: Raleigh, NC (mainly onsite)
