BreakPoint Labs is seeking a Software/Cloud Architect to manage and identify the program’s high-level technical specifications in Fort Meade, Maryland. This role leads application design, cloud computing strategy, and the integration of software applications into a functioning system, with a strong focus on cloud-based infrastructure.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage and define high-level technical specifications for complex software applications, including defining overall system architecture, data models, and interface specifications.
• Operate and maintain cloud-based infrastructure, including provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of cloud resources.
• Ensure cloud security and compliance for all cloud resources.
• Work with cloud-based infrastructure such as virtual machines, containerized systems (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing technologies.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, design documents, and technical guides.

Required Experience:

• 8+ years of experience with multiple cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and IBM Cloud.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience within a cloud environment.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with virtual machines, containers, and serverless computing.
• Proven ability to build, manage, and automate CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong practical knowledge of DevSecOps practices and integrating security into the development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience designing, provisioning and managing environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
• Experience with DevOps pipelines, CI/CD tools, and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, etc.
• Strong familiarity with operating and troubleshooting complex issues within cloud resources and interconnected systems.
• Experience with multi-cloud/hybrid cloud environments.

Certifications Required: Security+ Continuing Education (CE) [CompTIA] and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) [EC-Council], Cloud+, CCSP

Security Clearance Required: Top Secret / SCI w/CI Poly

Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree; Area(s) of Study Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering
