We are looking for an experienced, commercially knowledgeable software buyer for a 3-6 month contract opportunity. This role is mostly remote, but can require in-office visits up to several times a month.
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing software initiatives, lead negotiations, negotiate commercial terms, and in coordination with legal to secure optimal terms and conditions in line with company standard
- Proactively manage assigned software license new purchases or renewals – on prem and cloud
- Develop successful relationships with internal partners, including senior IT managers, business leaders and finance executives
- Ensure, adherence to compliance, governance, and regulatory standards.
- Utilize market intelligence and industry trends to inform procurement strategies.
- Build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success and long-term partnerships
- Deliver cost savings
- Use IronClad (CLM tool) for full contracting lifecycle
Qualifications
- Direct and recent experience negotiating software licenses of on-prem and cloud
- Experience running competitive bids in Ariba or similar tool
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience communicating and building agreement with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with the IT market and industry trends, with the ability to use this knowledge to make strategic decisions.
- Experience working in a global organization and managing cross-regional projects - helpful.
