Software Automation Engineer, Offshore Handling Systems

The Control & Digital department delivers the complete scope of controls, hardware, and software, to allow the user to fully utilize the physical equipment in an efficient, safe, and predictable manner.

In this role, you will work on customer projects related to winches and handling systems in our KM Deck Machinery product portfolio. Your focus will be on designing, documenting, and verifying electrical control systems, as well as providing technical support and commissioning assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, document, and verify electrical control systems

Provide technical support within your team

Contribute socially and professionally to the team

Qualifications and Experience:

Degree in Electrical, Computer, Cybernetic, or Automation Engineering

Understanding of software and hardware interaction

Strong investigative and problem-solving skills

Experience with PLC programming and control system design

Knowledge of IE, Codesys, Structured Text

Beneficial experience in CAD drawing and hydraulic systems

This employment may require security clearance from the Norwegian Security Authority, Civil Aviation Authority, or a background check.
