Job Title: Software Analyst

Location: Hybrid (50% onsite) – 1220 Washington Ave, State Campus, Building 5, Albany, NY 12226
Rate: Depends on experience

Position Overview:
Join the NYS HBITS DMV Transformation project as a Software Analyst, focusing on modernizing enterprise systems using IBM, Microsoft, and OutSystems platforms with a strong emphasis on accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.2 AA).

Responsibilities:

• Document existing applications and processes
• Define software requirements for new DMV systems
• Manage analysis projects with diverse toolsets
• Coordinate with IT staff and stakeholders on requirements
• Design and evaluate comprehensive test scenarios
• Track updates to technical and business specs
• Draft user training materials and procedural docs
• Conduct and support testing and validation activities
• Produce detailed status updates
• Guide accessibility compliance per WCAG 2.2 AA

Qualifications:

• 7 years working on business requirements collection for new applications
• 7 years leading BPM methodology-based analysis
• 5 years in software analysis
• 4 years creating test plans aligned to requirements
• 4 years coordinating multi-team requirement sessions
• 4 years using Visio for process diagrams
• 1 year in OutSystems development
• 1 year experience in web accessibility testing (manual/keyboard methods)
