SoC Power Validation Engineer

You will be part of an exciting silicon design group responsible for designing state-of-the-art ASICs. We have an extraordinary opportunity for Validation Engineers. The SoC hardware development team seeks a motivated engineer for a full-time position focused on power hardware validation and analysis of typical SoC workloads. Your analysis will drive power optimization efforts to achieve top-tier power/performance.

Imagine yourself at the heart of our SoC design efforts, collaborating across disciplines to deliver functional products to millions of customers rapidly. You will have the opportunity to innovate and work with a dedicated team of engineers. As a member of the SoC power team, you will engage in power validation of mobile SoCs. Your main responsibilities include:

Measuring silicon power dissipation of typical workloads (e.g., video streaming, recording), analyzing data, and correlating with simulation results.

Collaborating closely with design, architecture, systems, and software teams, requiring strong communication and teamwork skills.

Performing silicon power measurements and correlating with simulations.

Working with multi-functional teams to enable use-case power measurements.

Enhancing energy efficiency through tuning hardware and software settings.

Improving power measurement infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of industry experience.

Qualifications

Strong programming skills and understanding of low-power digital design and power fundamentals, including:

- Expertise in C/Assembly programming and related tools.

- Experience with basic lab equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.

- Knowledge of dynamic and static power calculations in CMOS.

- Excellent communication skills and teamwork ability.

At Apple, base pay is part of our total compensation and varies within a range based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The pay range for this role is $166,600 to $296,300.
