Smart Building Installation Engineer\n London (Zones 1–2)\n Up to £40,000 \nFull-time\n\nWe’re hiring a Structured Cabling Engineer to join a leading smart building technology provider, delivering high-quality infrastructure across commercial offices, studios, and data centres.\n\nThis is a hands-on role focused on copper & fibre installations, with the opportunity to build experience across wider smart building technologies including IoT, Wi-Fi, AV, and security systems. You’ll be working on varied projects across multiple sites, supporting full lifecycle delivery from installation through to maintenance and fault finding.\n\nThis is a great opportunity to join a company that invests in training, certifications, and career progression, offering exposure to modern smart building environments while working as part of a supportive and collaborative team.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nInstall, terminate and test copper (Cat5e/6/6A) and fibre (OS1/2, OM3/4/5) cabling\nDeliver structured cabling projects across commercial environments\nInstall containment (tray, basket, trunking, conduit)\nRack, stack and patch network equipment (switches, routers, servers)\nInstall devices including Wi-Fi APs, IoT sensors, AV and security systems\nTest using Fluke equipment and ensure compliance with standards\nSupport commissioning, maintenance, and fault finding\nComplete documentation and follow H&S proceduresRequirements\n\n3+ years’ experience in structured cabling / ICT infrastructure\nStrong copper & fibre installation experience\nECS/CSCS card\nRelevant certification (BICSI, CNet or equivalent)\nFull UK driving licenceAbout You\n\nHands-on and able to work independently\nStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skills\nComfortable working across multiple sites\nKeen to develop within smart building technologiesPackage\n\nSalary up to £40,000\n40 hours per week\nOvertime / occasional weekends\nOngoing training and development\n\nINDP
