Role Overview
This position is part of the Lunar Transportation business unit, contributing to the development of spacecraft thermal control systems for lunar landers. You will work directly with NASA and our partners in the Human Landing System (HLS) program, playing a key role in designing thermal components from conception through testing and integration.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test thermal hardware components such as cold plates and heat exchangers
Create specifications, test plans, and reports for thermal hardware
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure hardware meets mission requirements and standards
Contribute to the development of multiple of lunar landers
Qualifications
B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering
At least 5 years of relevant thermal engineering experience
Strong knowledge of heat transfer, fluid systems, and spacecraft hardware
Experience with hardware design, sizing, testing, and validation
Proficiency with CAD software (preferably Creo) and CFD simulation tools
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
U.S. citizenship or lawful status in the U.S.
Qualifications
M.S. or PhD in related field
8+ years of aerospace thermal experience
Experience with pumped fluid loop hardware and thermal modeling tools such as Thermal Desktop or Sinda/Fluint
Vendor management and manufacturing experience

varies by location, e.g., CA: $117,498 - $164,497; CO: $107,707 - $150,789; WA: $117,498 - $164,497
