We are looking for a Skilled Security Installation Engineer with expertise in AV systems and have some knowledge/experience in Smart Home Technologies to join our growing team.
Role Overview
As a Security Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of innovative security systems, AV equipment, and Smart Home Solutions. You will work closely with clients to ensure that systems are tailored to their needs, delivering a professional and customer-focused experience.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain security systems, including CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems.
Set up and integrate AV systems, including home theaters, multi-room audio, and video conferencing systems.
Install and program smart home technologies, such as lighting controls, HVAC automation, and home networking systems.
Conduct site surveys, assess client requirements, and provide technical advice and solutions.
Test and commission systems to ensure optimal functionality and customer satisfaction.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing ongoing maintenance and support.
Keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Maintain accurate documentation, including system diagrams and installation records.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience is essential.
Proven experience in the installation and maintenance of security systems (CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control).
Familiarity with smart home platforms such as Crestron, Control4, Lutron, or similar.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system diagrams.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid UK driving license.
Desirable Skills:
Certifications in security systems, AV installations, or smart home technologies.
Experience with IP-based systems and network configuration.
Electrical or electronics background is advantageous.
Knowledge of AV systems, including installation and integration.
