Primary Responsibility Summary

The Maintenance Associate is responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks to maintain and repair buildings, facilities, and equipment. This role includes plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, flooring, and general repair work. The Maintenance Associate ensures all maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to operations, supporting the overall functionality and appearance of company facilities. This position requires collaboration and team work!

Travel Requirements

Travel as needed to perform maintenance at multiple company locations.

ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Duties

  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues or potential problems.

  • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems (including minor electrical repairs).

  • Complete carpentry work including wood and metal framing, drywall installation, finishing, patching, and fixture installation or repair.

  • Alter, repair, construct, and maintain floors, stairways, partitions, and walls.

  • Install doors, door frames, drop ceiling grid and tile, and insulation.

  • Perform minor roof repairs.

  • Paint and touch up interior and exterior surfaces, including surface preparation such as sanding, drywall repair, and filling holes.

  • Install and repair flooring materials including cove base, modular carpet tiles, LVT tile, and vinyl plank flooring.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from building occupants and management.

  • Maintain accurate inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.

  • Operate company vehicles for tasks such as material pickup, snow removal, and other assigned duties.

  • Provide general labor and support as needed across facilities.

Safety and Compliance

  • Perform all maintenance work in compliance with applicable safety regulations, policies, and industry standards.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections.

Landscaping and Seasonal Support

  • Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and other seasonal maintenance activities as required.

  • Collaborate effectively with other maintenance team members and communicate clearly with building occupants and management.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent .

  • Prior experience in maintenance, repair, or a related skilled trade.

  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team memberand manage multiple priorities.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required).

  • Ability to supply and maintain a basic personal tool set (e.g., drill, screwdrivers, wrenches, tape measure).

  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Frequently required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Regular use of hands to handle, finger, and feel objects; reach with hands and arms.

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.

  • Ability to lift 510 pounds overhead occasionally.

  • Ability to climb, inspect, work on, and dismount heavy construction equipment daily.

  • Frequently push, pull, and bend at the waist to inspect equipment and perform repairs.

  • Stand for extended periods of time.

  • Use heavy power tools daily.

  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
