With a wide variety of systems to maintain and a business that continues to expand, this role is ideal for a multiskilled engineer who enjoys hands‑on problem solving, autonomy, and the chance to make a meaningful impact every day.\n\nRole Overview\n\nCarry out planned and reactive maintenance across a broad range of site equipment, including lighting, small power, dock levellers, and refrigeration plant.\n\nDiagnose faults quickly and effectively, ensuring safe and compliant repair work.\n\nSupport the smooth running of site operations by responding to daily engineering needs.\n\nMaintain high standards of safety, documentation, and regulatory compliance.\n\nWork collaboratively with colleagues and contractors to deliver a reliable and efficient service.\n\nContribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment performance and site infrastructure.\n\nSkills and Experience\n\nCompleted trade apprenticeship with a minimum of 5 years' practical industry experience.\n\nNC or City & Guilds qualification in Electrical Engineering.\n\nStrong electrical and mechanical skill base with proven fault‑finding ability.\n\nExcellent communication skills and a proactive, "get the job done" approach.\n\nFull clean driving licence.\n\nDesirable Qualifications\n\nC&G 2079 F‑Gas and ODS Regulations.\n\nBS EN 378:2008.\n\nBS 7671 18th Edition.\n\nCounterbalance FLT licence and IPAF 3a/3b.\n\nAbout the Company\n\nThe business is recognised as one of the Best Big Companies to Work For, with a long‑standing reputation for valuing its people and investing in their wellbeing.
