Site Services Engineer - Food Manufacturing

Location: Northallerton

Salary: Up to £45,000 + Overtime

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm



Are you a proactive and skilled Site Services Engineer ready for your next challenge in a fast-paced food production environment?



This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading and growing food manufacturer based in North Yorkshire. We're looking for a time-served engineer with strong mechanical knowledge and experience across a range of site services systems.



You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our factory services while also driving improvements and supporting site projects.



Key Responsibilities:



Conduct preventative maintenance, condition monitoring, and inspections.

Carry out plant and equipment improvements to boost performance and reliability.

Record work in SHIRE MMS and keep documentation up to date.

Write and update maintenance schedules and written schemes.

Maintain records to meet internal and external audit requirements.

Manage and update site services asset data, including critical spares lists.

Work closely with engineering stores to ensure parts availability.

Support the wider engineering team with mechanical fitter work and small projects.

Provide training and mentoring for engineering staff and apprentices.

Advise on new installations and engineering projects.✅ What We're Looking For:



A mechanical or electrical qualification with relevant hands-on experience.

Strong background in maintaining:

Industrial gas-fired boilers

Air compressors

Hot water systems

Heat exchangers

Drainage systems

Lighting

RO/waste treatment plants

Good mechanical knowledge with some electrical ability.

A self-starter with strong initiative, flexibility, and solid judgment.
