Job Description

Our client, a global manufacturer who is renowned for its well-known household brands, is currently on the look-out for a Site Services Electrician to join their team. They pride themselves on being amongst the best in the industry and they are currently offering a fantastic opportunity for a talented and experienced individual to contribute to their ongoing success.\nWe are looking for someone who is confident in taking ownership of their work, demonstrating accountability and responsibility on site. A proactive approach, positive attitude, and the ability to work well within a team are essential for success in this role.\nJob details:\n * Carry out and document all site electrical maintenance safely and on schedule.\n * Work with the maintenance planner and stores to coordinate required parts and materials.\n * Respond swiftly to electrical breakdowns to reduce downtime.\n * Actively engage in Continuous Improvement, Skills Development, and Health & Safety teams.\n * Support the development of engineering apprentices.\n * Participate in process and capital projects.\n * Deputise for the Facilities & Services Coordinator when needed.\n * Achievement of departmental KPIs and PPM targets.\n * Accurate and up-to-date engineering documentation and reports.\n * Delivery of agreed SMART objectives set during appraisals.\n * Maintain high housekeeping standards via regular inspections of: Electrical Workshops, L.V Substations and Toolboxes.\n * Ensure full compliance with relevant safety and technical regulations, including Risk Assessments, COSHH, PUWER, EAWR, and BS7671.\nEssential Qualifications / Experience:\n * Must have successfully completed a recognised full engineering apprenticeship (Essential).\n * Recognised qualification in electrical/electronic engineering.\n * 18th Edition wiring regulations or willingness to attain.\n * Must have previous experience working within an industrial / manufactuing environment (Essential).\n * Strong communication skills (verbal and written)\n * Experience in:\n * Installing and maintaining electrical factory systems\n * Process control instruments (e.g.

flow meters, sensors, valves), Instrument calibration, PAT testing, Panel building and wiring, Lighting system installation and maintenance, Alarm system maintenance and testing, LV distribution systems.\n * Basic understanding of fieldbus and industrial communication technologies.\n * Cherry picker competent.\nWhat’s on offer:\n * Shift: Monday to Friday 7:00am – 3:00pm\n * Salary: £38,998\n * Overtime available at time and a half\n * Holiday allowance - 30 days including banks + 3 days off at Christmas\n * Pension contribution - Matched up to 8%\n * Private Medical Insurance\n * Employee of the month rewards + Free company products\n * On site parking\nPlease note: All applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
