Position: Site Planner – Civil Infrastructure & Construction
Salary: Upto £55,00 per annum
Package: 25 days holiday + Stats, Company Car/ Allowance, x4 Life Assurance, Constributory Pension
Location: Merseyside
Environment: Office, home and site based. Major Civil Infrastructure Engineering/ Construction & Maintenance business
The company and group:
A prominent global company specialising in the infrastructure construction and maintenance industry that provides comprehensive, tailor-made services and efficiently oversee projects from inception to ongoing maintenance.
The customer base includes governmental entities at both national and local levels, private patrons, and developers.
Summary:
Reporting to the Business Manager, the Site Planner will be responsible for creating and reproducing efficient timelines throughout the design and construction period.
The successful candidate will be adept at producing comprehensive program reports for progress meetings and will be an essential contributor to our internal weekly updates, fostering transparent and effective communication within teams.
Additionally, they will excel in producing Change Programmes, meticulously identifying potential effects and risks for our Commercial Teams before submission clients. Accurate analysis and a proactive approach will be vital in delivering high-quality, competitive tenders.
Moreover, the Site Planner will be encouraged to actively seek opportunities for Business Improvement within the Planning team.
Accountabilities:
- Development of Contract Programmes from Tender Programme
- Updating contract programmes for Client submission
- Monitoring Progress and reporting to the site team
- Production of Programme reports for progress meetings
- Production of weekly site programmes
- Production of change programmes for Contract variations
- Production of Mitigation Programmes and Reports
- Explaining programme changes to Internal and External parties
- Assist in the production of Tender Programmes and methodology
- Production of Programme presentation material
- Assisting the Work winning teams
Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required
- Intermediate understanding of Standard Microsoft Office software
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Project
- Knowledge of Primavera P6
- Knowledge of programme planning sequencing and updates
- Understanding of Pre-construction design and procurement processes
- Knowledge of Temporary works – traffic management, crane lifts, temporary support, scaffolding
- SMSTS / IOSH (Safety Related Qualification)
- Relevant CSCS card
- Appropriate ONC/HNC/HND/Degree qualification in Construction / Civil Engineering
- Knowledge and understanding of NEC conditions of Contract, and in implementing contract processes and of NEC Programme Compliance
