Site Operations Manager

Southampton

£75,000 - £80,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits

Position for a Site Operations Manager to autonomously run the flagship site of a heavy engineering specialist going through significant growth.

This is a great opportunity to join an evolving business who are investing heavily in their assets and systems, overseeing their dockside operation which is a cornerstone to their UK operation.

An ideal applicant will be an Operations Manager (or similar) with experience in a heavy engineering, bulk commodity, waste management, aggregates, or similar environment. You will have excellent leadership abilities and a key understanding of production efficiencies.

Experience in import/export is desirable but by no means essential as the company are happy to offer you training & development in this area.

The company turnover circa £1bn per annum and operate in one of the UK’s fastest growing & sustainable sectors. They are going through significant growth with new sites opened this year and significant investment ongoing at their existing facilities. Due to this growth & expansion, we are seeking a Site Operations Manager to lead one of their key sites in the South.

In this position, you will manage an experienced team covering production, maintenance, export, and procurement. You will have full autonomy in your day-today work and report key metrics to the Group Operations Manager to help with informed decision making at a group level.

Full industry, systems and export training can be provided.
