Job Title: Site Manager\n\nLocation: Nationwide \n\nSalary: £55,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance\n\nBenefits:\n\nBupa Private Healthcare\n\n28 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays\n\nStandard Pension Scheme\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nThe company is a UK-wide fit-out and construction company delivering fast-paced, high-quality projects in the retail, commercial, and public sectors. Known for its no-nonsense, hands-on delivery model, the company combines strong client relationships with operational excellence.\n\nThe team is now building out a dedicated delivery team for ta retail account. These schemes are quick-turnaround, hands-on, and client-visible - making this an ideal role for a confident, motivated Site Manager who thrives in a fast-paced setting.\n\nProject Scope:\n\nProject Values: £400k - £1.3 million\n\nProgramme Duration: ~6 weeks per project\n\nType: Retail refurbishments & fit-outs \n\nDelivery Model: Fast-track, client-facing, and deadline-driven\n\nThe Role:\n\nAs Site Manager, you'll be the No.1 on site - responsible for managing delivery from start to finish, ensuring quality, safety, and programme adherence.\n\nYou'll interface daily with subcontractors, internal teams, and the client representatives, maintaining a professional and proactive presence on site.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nManage end-to-end site delivery on fast-paced fit-out projects\n\nInterpret incomplete or evolving drawing packages and coordinate accordingly\n\nLead subcontractors, manage daily briefings, and oversee quality and H&S\n\nMaintain site diaries, reports, and client communication\n\nLiaise with QS, Contracts Manager, and wider team on progress, issues, and risks\n\nRepresent the contractor professionally in a client-facing role\n\nDrive a safe, productive, and collaborative site culture\n\nWhat We're Looking For:\n\nExperience & Background:\n\nProven track record delivering fast-track fit-out or refurbishment projects\n\nProject values ideally between £400k-£1.3m\n\nExperience in shopfitting, retail, or similar sectors highly beneficial\n\nJoinery background but not essential\n\nComfortable managing projects with minimal drawings or pre-construction input\n\nSoft Skills:\n\nConfident, self-sufficient, and highly proactive\n\nProblem-solver who can "fill in the gaps" when drawings or scope are unclear\n\nStrong communicator - especially with clients and project stakeholders\n\nResilient under pressure and capable of managing tight programmes\n\nTeam player who supports others and leads by example\n\nTechnical Skills:\n\nIT savvy and good knowledge of Microsoft Office\n\nAble to manage emails, reports, RAMS, and site administration\n\nH&S knowledge and SMSTS/First Aid required\n\nHow to Apply:\n\nIf you're a driven Site Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and enjoys being hands-on, we'd love to hear from you.
