Job Description

Abatec is seeking a Site Manager on a freelance contract to join our client, a regional contractor, for a Civil Engineering project in Southampton.\n\nThe successful candidate will have experience in the Civil Engineering industry, capable of self-delivery, and have prior experience working on pipeline and drainage systems including large diameter pipes.\n\nAs Site Manager you will:\n\n * Oversee the day-to-day site activities, ensuring safe and efficient project execution.\n\n * Support and drive continuous improvement within the project delivery team.\n\n * Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.\n\n * Work closely with the client, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain strong relationships.\n\n * Monitor project progress, managing budgets and schedules effectively.\n\n * Identify and mitigate risks to avoid project delays and cost overruns.\n\n * Lead site teams and foster a positive, safety-focused working environment.\n\nOur client requires a Site Manager with:\n\n * Valid CSCS\n\n * SMSTS\n\n * A good understating of health & safety protocols including RAMS\n\n * Excellent communication skills\n\n * A background in civil engineering including drainage and pipelines.\n\nSalary/Benefits:\n\n * £300-£350 Ltd per day\n\nIf you would like more information, or to apply for this vacancy, please contact Matt Hughes on (phone number removed).
