Position Overview
We are seeking a driven and experienced Operations Manager to oversee our janitorial operations at a high-profile shipping client site/s in North Haven, CT. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for ensuring consistent service delivery, operational excellence, and strong client engagement. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and has the potential to grow into a Node Manager overseeing multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for senior and regional client leadership at the site.

Directly report to the Director of Operations, aligning all site activities with company-wide strategic goals.

Collaborate with functional department heads to resolve escalations and coordinate support services.

Oversee and manage node-level special projects and operational initiatives, ensuring timely and successful execution.

Lead and participate in site audits and performance reviews with both internal teams and client leadership.

Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality service.

Continuously evaluate and refine site-level processes for greater efficiency and compliance.

Enforce compliance with company standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements across all departments.

Supervise and mentor a team of site managers, shift supervisors, and frontline staff, providing guidance, performance evaluations, and development plans.

Conduct formal and ad-hoc performance reviews, setting clear expectations and KPIs for all direct reports.

Drive team accountability and service excellence, coaching subordinate leaders to meet performance goals.

Act as a liaison with governmental and regulatory bodies as needed to maintain compliance.

Lead or assist in policy enforcement, investigations, and resolution of personnel or operational concerns.

Identify and request tools, systems, and resources necessary for meeting client and operational objectives.

Oversee and maintain information management systems and reporting tools to monitor and analyze key metrics.

Develop and enforce data management standards and protocols for consistent reporting and documentation.

Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Operations.
Qualifications

5+ years of leadership experience in operations, facility or janitorial management, or a related field.

Proven track record in client-facing environments, ideally with high-volume or 24/7 operations.

Strong knowledge of operational workflows, compliance standards, and service delivery metrics.

Experience managing multi-level teams across departments.

Ability to lead and influence in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
