Freelance Site Manager – Office Fit Out (Newcastle) Location: Newcastle upon Tyne Start Date: ASAP Rate: Competitive day rate (freelance / CIS) We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the fit out of high-quality office accommodation in Newcastle. The project involves internal refurbishments and fit out works, including partitions, ceilings, M&E coordination, and finishes — so prior experience in managing commercial office fit outs is essential. Responsibilities Day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring programme, quality, and safety targets are achieved Coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, and site logistics Ensuring H&S compliance, carrying out toolbox talks, and maintaining site documentation Liaising with the project manager, client, and design team Monitoring progress and reporting regularly on site performance Requirements Proven experience delivering office fit out or refurbishment projects (ideally £500k–£2m range) SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid certifications Strong organisational and communication skills Ability to manage subcontractors and drive progress on site Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards Details Contract type: Freelance / Self-employed Project: CAT A / CAT B office fit out Location: Central Newcastle
