Site Manager - Mechanical Background

Location: Camelford, Cornwall

Start Date: 18th August 2025

Rate: £28 per hour

Duration: Initial 5-week contract, with strong potential for ongoing work



We are currently recruiting for a Site Manager with a mechanical background to oversee works on a project in Camelford, Cornwall.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-respected contractor that offers long-term prospects beyond the initial project. The successful candidate will bring a solid understanding of mechanical systems and experience leading site teams on M&E or building services installations.



Requirements:



Valid SMSTS certification



Black CSCS Card (or equivalent)



Current First Aid Certificate



Strong mechanical background, preferably within building services or construction



Proven experience managing subcontractors and site operations



Ability to read technical drawings and coordinate works accordingly



Excellent communication and leadership skills



Responsibilities:



Day-to-day management of mechanical works on site



Coordination with other trades and project stakeholders



Ensuring health and safety compliance at all times



Tracking progress and reporting to project management



Managing site documentation and quality assurance
