Job Title: Site Manager – Social Housing (Roofing) – Contract\nLocations:\n\nThanet (Kent) – 1 position\n\nSouth East (multi-site travel) – 1 position\n\nContract Type: Contract / Temporary\nDuration: 6–12 week schemes (rolling programme)\nRate: £270 per day\n\nAbout the Company\nOur client is a well-established contractor delivering planned maintenance and refurbishment works across the social housing sector. With a strong pipeline of roofing projects, they are looking to appoint two experienced Site Managers to support delivery across key schemes.\n\nThe Roles\nWe are recruiting for two Site Managers:\n\nOne to be based on a project in Thanet\n\nOne to oversee multiple short-term schemes (6–12 weeks) across the South East\n\nBoth roles will focus on roofing works within occupied social housing properties, requiring strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nManage day-to-day site operations on roofing schemes within social housing\n\nSupervise subcontractors and site teams to ensure quality and productivity\n\nEnsure all works are carried out in line with health & safety regulations\n\nLiaise with , client representatives, and internal teams\n\nMonitor programme progress and address any delays or issues\n\nMaintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation\n\nConduct site inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications\n\nSupport Liaison Officers where required\n\nEssential Requirements\n\nProven experience as a Site Manager within social housing refurbishment/maintenance\n\nStrong background in roofing projects (essential)\n\nSMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)\n\nValid CSCS Card\n\nExcellent health & safety knowledge\n\nStrong IT skills (able to use tablets, reporting systems, and Microsoft packages)\n\nAbility to manage multiple stakeholders and work in a fast-paced environment\n\nFull UK driving licence\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\nCompetitive contract rates\n\nImmediate start opportunities\n\nOngoing pipeline of short-term schemes\n\nOpportunity to work with a reputable and growing contractor\n\nSupport from a dedicated recruitment consultant throughout your contract\n\nPlease note: only candidates with relevant social housing, roofing experience, and valid SMSTS & CSCS certification will be considered
